Civil unrest strikes the usually peaceful nation of Jinwoy, in a series of Religiously fueled clashes inspired by a massive counter-islamophobia and radical Islam movement in the nations south.
National authorities blame the Muslim participants for all the damage caused, including the deaths of innocent bystanders. The government immediately halted all activity by a unified Muslim organisation, the Jinwoyin Islamic Society, and declared them illegal in an attempt to throw the organisation of the protesters off their tracks with very little success: the move also sparked political watchdogs groups to comment on how this is a "slippery slope" for the government to "silence any and all opposition". Though there remains no government reply to these comments, the JIS still remain unable to organize any future activities legally.
The government has declared the riots, for the most part, over and has regained control of the Ju Kilo region where the cleanup can now begin.
Versutian Federation and international coalition peacekeeping forces were deployed during the unrest to protect civilian safe-zones and targets of the largely organised Muslim-radical community, which mostly consisted of churches, cathedrals and known practicing Christians, homosexuals and others deemed 'unworthy' to live...
Indeed, this large civil conflict has been ultimately destructive to Ju Kilo's road and power networks, religious buildings and population. The event had killed around 500 people, and displaced roughly triple that amount as well as virtually destroy many areas in central Kilomera city. The government announced earlier today that it is looking into the possibility that these disturbances were planned by terrorist cells operating within Jinwoy, and has not limited the possibilities of foreign espionage, Islamic radicalism and anti-government organization.
As investigators research into every available possibility, one top contender has appeared in many Jinwoyin social discussions: the Violetist Avengers.
The people who debate this cite the VA's recent attack in Colston, Jenlom, claiming that they are going on a rampage throughout the VF.
Many experts agree that this is not within the VA's style of attack - that they would have claimed responsibility for agitating radical Islamic societies into open revolt.
Nevertheless, the road for the recovery of Jinwoy from these events will be long and rough, but the president of Jinwoy, Raya Minibung, has assured his population by spreading his new slogan "we live for the future, we don't live in the past". Many opposition leaders claim that so much can be said, and that little will be done to prevent situations like these in the future.
Polls indicate that people think the riots were further agitated by a lack of funding and late reaction by the regional and federal government. These poll results create an interesting question that needs to be answered by the government in the following days: are we safe here?
